Waterhouse Boreas Magnet
John William Waterhouse Boreas magnet. Oil Painting on Canvas from1903. The English artist John Waterhouse often focused on mythological themes. Boreas is a work dedicated to the Greek god of the north wind and features a young girl in a blue dress walking through a windswept field of daffodils and pink blossoms. The wind catches in her grey shawl and she lifts her arm to cover her head, which is adorned by dark brown hair and a freshly plucked daffodil. A great gift for fans of J.W. Waterhouse, Greek myth, the Pre-Raphaelites, mythological painting, and English Romanticism.
