Whaleshark Sticker

Our marine evironment is the natural habitat of thousands of species of fish. One of them is whaleshark - the largest fish in the world. Other whales are considered as mammals. Although there is the word shark in its name, it is not a dangerous animal to human being. Whaleshark eats small bait fish which is called "ikan puri" in Indonesian language. Whaleshark will not attack swimmers or free divers who are around them. This is one of the reason why whaleshark watching is a popular tourist attraction in West Papua province of Indonesia, the Philipines and Mexico. Even though it is not a dangerous animal, we must show our respect to the animal while swimming near the fish by not touching or riding whaleshark.
