William Blake Beatrice puzzle. Pen and watercolor illustration from 1824-27. English poet and artist William Blake spent his last years happily illustrating Dante’s Divine Comedy. His Beatrice Adressing Dante from the Car is a colourful work depicting the muse Beatrice greeting the poet Dante in Heaven. The work features an intriguing amount of symbolim. A whirlwind of angels serves as the wheel of the car, while a colourful griffin serves as its lead. Beatrice is surrounded by the four gospel apostles depicted metaphorically. Luke is depicted as the simple ox, mark a lion, John as an eagle, and Matthew as an echo of the Christ. A beautiful gift for fans of William Blake, Dante, The Divine Comedy, and English art.

Sir,A great product of quality,which really was, jolly good as a Christmas present for my brother in-law ,who is a mushroom expert here in England.
