About This Design
William Morris Membland - Mousepad
William Morris, 1834-1896, was one of the most influential voices in Victorian art and architecture, and his influence spread far into the 20th century in the form of the Arts and Crafts Movement that he helped spawn.
He was an English architect, furniture and textile designer, artist, writer and socialist associated with the ‘Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood’ and the English “Arts and Crafts Movement’.
The full name of this print is “Membland Tile Design”. It was done in 1876 on cotton rag art paper and made to look like squares of tile. A thick brown vine with large blue flowers and blue leaves is the prominent feature in this design. There are many layers in this design all set on a dark background. This print was most likely a wallpaper design.

Seems to be made of good quality rubber, it is thicker than my current one, which really shows that they have taken their time to get quality materials. So far so good , i am very pleased. The product is very vibrant and exactly as it shows on the website!
