Wolf, Mediaeval Bestiary Art Notebook

Wolf, Mediaeval Bestiary Art Notebook Between tall pines on a misty mountain slope, a grey Wolf steps over the rocks with its head low and its eyes keen. A snowy peak rises in the distance behind the trees. The scholar's entry calls it a lean runner who wakes when the pine wind moves, and its howl is a long and carrying thing. That wild calm of a mountain forest shapes the whole design. A large gold drop cap on a patterned blue panel opens the name WOLF, with a red subtitle, of the Mountain Woods, set beneath it over a small black ornament. A short scholar's entry in old style lettering fills the left column, and a framed window on the right shows the grey Wolf stepping down a rocky path beneath tall pines and a far mountain peak. A small brown ink sketch of a paw print marks the lower left corner. Wolf grey, pine green, and misty mountain blue glow on a parchment tone page darkened at the edges, wrapped in curling blue and red acanthus vines, red and gold flowers, four little songbirds, and thin gold rails. • Grey Wolf walking a rocky trail through the mountain pines • Gold drop cap W, red subtitle of the Mountain Woods, and a short scholar's lore entry • Grey, pine green, and mountain blue on a parchment tone page with a blue and red floral border • Part of the Mediaeval Bestiary Notebook Collection from Wild Realms
