Wrapping Paper - Billiards
In the 19th century a poolroom was a horse race betting parlour. Pool tables were installed so the bettors could pass time between horse races. Billards, or pool, is the descendant of a game similar to croquet that was played in 15th-century Europe. Though we don't know for sure, it is strongly suspected that billiards came to America with Dutch and English settlers. By the 1700's, skilled cabinet makers were crafting beautiful tables, though the equipment was, otherwise, quite primitive. Fifteen-ball pool came on the scene in the late 1800's and grew in popularity through the 1940's. Billiards was revived in 1961 with the release of the movie THE HUSTLER. It enjoyed another surge in the mid 1980's with the release of the movie sequel, COLOR OF MONEY. Since that time, there has been an evolution of the environs in which we find pool tables -- they're in restaurants and night clubs and sports bars, allowing pool to find a modern audience and new generations of enthusiasts. This marvellous design is layers of billiard balls in varying sizes for greater depth. They are scattered all over a "green felt" backdrop.
Rack 'em up! This delightfully whimsical design is computer-generated layers of various-sized billiard balls . . . from the solid white cue ball to the burgundy-striped 15, this terrific wrapping paper repeats the pattern every three feet. Whether it's his birthday or Father's Day, this it the crowning touch on your wonderful gift . . . and you have so many options for ribbons and bows!

I love this paper and it was large enough to put on the back of a glazed cabinet. It’s had lots of comments. I painted the interior to extend the image and it was very pleased with the result.

I really liked this product, the picture is lovely and the colours are really nice. I wanted it to up-cycle a writing bureau and I was concerned that the paper may be too thin. But it wasn't and it worked fine.
On the pictures I have uploaded the print looks a bit aged and not so vivid and new looking. As I wanted an aged patina but the actual print is clearer and the colours are brighter. The colour and prints are good.

Very strong quality paper used. I used it to cover a lampshade, and it looks stunning now. Vibrant and vivid. Such lovely colours.
