Yellow, Cello Tea Towel

Are we in New York or Paris? The balcony suggests the latter. Is it jazz that will be played, or something from the classical repertoire? A cello is propped against the piano bench. Two ornate Chippendale chairs face us. The palette includes yellow, blues, greens, and purples. White brushstroke lines and black pen lines of acrylic ink define and outline the forms. The artist, Peter Stilton, is internationally known. His paintings and sculptures are in private and corporate collections all over the world…from Tel Aviv to Stockholm, including a commission for the Saudi royal family’s summer palace Peter was the first American to have a one-man show at the Sorbonne (University of Paris).
