This lovely border tile is a detail of a reproduction of Hippocampes et algues, bordure, Les quatre éléments, carreaux céramiques, et lézards, bordure. Iris et libellules, papillons, jeux de fond from L'animal dans la décoration (1897) illustrated by Maurice Pillard Verneuil. Original from the The New York Public Library. Digitally enhanced by rawpixel. Will not repeat perfectly, but is ideal for provincial decor as a trivet or coaster. Excellent upscale yet understated (and budget-friendly) housewarming, birthday, Christmas, Hannukah, or other occasion gift.

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
