Specialising in fumage, I have spent over 15 years experimenting and perfecting this unusual technique of drawing with fire and plumes of smoke. By wielding a flame like a brush and using the smoke as my paint, I add layer upon layer of smoke to a chosen surface, which gradually accumulates to give tone and form to the piece. As well as my fumage pieces I also create artwork using a wide variety of different mediums from oils, acrylics and inks to pastels and pencils. A lot of my work is portraiture based but I also create weird and wonderful illustrative pieces, often containing a sense of quirky humour.
