Art West Studio

The designs come to you from ART WEST STUDIO, studio/gallery of Art James West, a master oil painter by way of Wyoming and New York City. Art West came to New Mexico in 2000 to immerse himself in the Southwest art scene and develop his own painting style. In a short time he established himself as a contemporary of the original Taos School. Considered a Taos Icon, he won the 2006 Taos Fall Arts Festival "Taos Invites Taos" (now Taos Select) best representational painting the first time he entered. After a dozen years in Taos @ Sage Fine Art on Taos Plaza as Alan Heuer, he moved south to Santa Fe and opened his own art gallery / painting studio where he became Art West @ Art West Studio in the Plaza Mercado, Suite 109, 112 W. San Francisco Street (one block south of the main Santa Fe Plaza).
