ANR Productions was created in 2005 by April Fresh and Roseanne DeShanaro because they wanted to bring a comedy pageant for female impersonators to a larger audience. The first Miss Comedy Queen pageant was held in August of 2005 in Orlando and has grown exponentially over the years into one of the biggest and most popular drag pageants for queens who are looking for an outlet to express their humor and creativity. Miss Comedy Queen continues to grow with the addition of preliminary pageants that are held all across the country! In 2007, April and Roseanne set their sights on another pageant celebrating the plus sized female impersonators in the community. The first Miss Large & Lovely was held in June of 2007 in Orlando and now is held annually in February. It has rapidly become of the most talked about pageants for entertainers who weigh over 220 pounds. Miss Large & Lovely has also seen expansion over the years with the sale of regional preliminaries that are promoted in part by former Miss Large & Lovely titleholders. With so much interest in this system, the prize packages for the winners have been increased, and we are certain that Miss Large & Lovely will be THE premiere pageant for the plus-sized diva! In 2010, Addison Taylor was asked to help with the administrative duties for both pageants after Roseanne moved out of state and is now one of the owners of both systems. She is the point of contact for all new preliminaries, the national contestant liason, and webmaster for our site. On pageant days, she is the point of contact from contestant registration to crowning.
