About
Guan is a valued guest at Barons Court Project.
He turned to art as his therapy after finding himself homeless after the 2008 financial crisis and the loss of his father which caused him to have a mental breakdown. “In the beginning my art was dark; I was mostly using charcoal and blacks and grey and I worked through my emotions, and then I remember one day I started using colours, and in that moment I felt my mood starting to lift. My emotions actually changed and I started a path of connection with myself and the community”.
Barons Court Project is the only day centre in Hammersmith and Fulham to support people who are homeless and/or living with mental health conditions. As part of our work to improve our guests wellbeing and mental health we run a weekly art group.
