My interest in Photography started out at about the age of 9 running around the neighborhood with my mothers old 120 twin reflex trying to capture any creature willing to pose for me. I found this empowering the idea that I could record a image frozen in time that no one else could reproduce exactly, what I soon found was it was not as easy as I had first thought and here begins my continued quest to become a better photographer each and every time I would pick up a camera, read, or watch anything related to making a better Image. While this Blog will be about my Professional career in Photography it will also introduce my personnel side as I feel it this this that drives me to seek "perfection" and thus my passion called Photography. I graduated in 1995 with a degree in fine arts majoring in Photography, It's really hard to believe that was 15 years ago, but it gives proof to my Passion for this under appreciated art form. I continue to attend local courses or a variety of things from studio lighting to natural or both, and always put extra time in to posing and getting the small over looked details, right. I am a member of the National Association of Portrait Professionals and have certification in Adobe CS3 from a technical college in Winnipeg. I am the owner of "Blush Models" a Model Mgnt, Model development company with a personnel touch. Models are hand selected and must work to excel to remain part of the agency. Do to the small numbers of represented models there can be no doubt of their commitment. While I work in a number of areas of Photography my Passion lies in three, Nature, Model and especially Wedding Photography, I find it special and humbling to be entrusted with capturing brief moments that for each couple should allow them to relive their special occasion each time when ever a photo is seen, weather it be a 16x20 or presentation album I want them to think of each photo as a moment of their lives together, and with those who shared in their special day. I will continue to explore Blogging, as it is my first attempt and hope I can make it interesting enough that you will return. Sincerely Darrell
