In October of 1978, Dave Crosland was born to hard-working parents in the wilds of Buffalo, NY. Since graduating from The Columbus College of Art and Design in 2000, he's pursued a steady career in freelance illustration. This talented young creator's art has appeared on concert posters for bands such as Jane's Addiction, Rufus Wainwright, and Galactic. This led to his work appearing as a backdrop design for Incubus during Lollapalooza 2003. Crosland's ties to the music world continued, as he created illustrations for hip-hop guru Blueprint's solo album, "1988," and the worldwide release of Gym Class Heroes' gold record, "As Cruel As School Children." Weaving his art into the music industry also pushed Dave's work into the world of extreme sports, as he created two lines of board designs for Ride Snowboards. He's taken a bite out of the editorial world, doing spot illustrations and full-page portraiture for magazines like Spin, Venus, Tastes Like Chicken, Metro LA, and Time Out Chicago. Dave's artwork has graced the pages of comic books, from indie titles such as Puffed and his original creations Kung Fu Bus-Boy and Slop, to mainstream releases like the cult-hit zombie epic, Everybody's DEAD and film-inspired sequel, Scarface: Scarred For Life. His solo comic work has appeared in various anthologies, including the critically-acclaimed Popgun Anthology and Meathaus. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2005, he was able to delve into the world of animation, pitching concepts for original cartoons and doing character design work for the major studios of Cartoon Network, Warner Brothers Animation, and Walt Disney Animation. Dave Crosland's original artwork has been enjoyed by private collectors of all ages, both in the USA and abroad. Dave has recently returned to Los Angeles, CA, where he's feverishly working on a new line of creator-owned comics, pitches for animated projects, and a new body of fine art paintings and drawings.
