I am a prolific photographer. My interest in what I photograph varies extensively. I’ve always loved architectural and cityscapes. Lately I’ve been photographing more landscapes at sunrise or sunset. I get excited in the late afternoon when the sunlight has a warm color and creates long, soft shadows that bring out texture and accentuate the contours of landscapes. In the morning, I watch the light, waiting for it to illuminate just the right flowers covered in dew drops or rays of light that break through the mist on a lake or river exposing a reflection in the water. I am also passionate about photographing flowers close-up. Being able to see things you can’t see with the naked eye is so exciting! I frequently use studio lights which work wonderfully to create soft, even light and are great for the occasional still life images I create.
