Freddy the Pig is the star of the children's book series written by Walter R. Brooks. The novels chronicle the adventures and misadventurees of Freddy and his friends (and foes) on the Bean Farm in Centerboro, New York. The 26 tomes were originally published from 1927 through 1958, earning at least two generations of fans. The Friends of Freddy, Inc., founded in 1982, is a 501c3 literary organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the works of Walter R. Brooks, in particular the Freddy books.
