Gordon Ashton worked as a illustrator in Germany and Australia before establishing his gallery in the estuary town of Salcombe. Favouring the versatility of acrylic paints and taking inspiration from the vibrant seaside colours of Devon and Cornwall, sometimes wild but often calm and idylic, golden beaches and quaint little fishing harbours where time stands still.
