About
This store is dedicated to providing inspiration for, and providing needed funds for the Historical Society in Plymouth Meeting, PA to help to fight the encroachment of modern development by destroying irreplaceable buildings that are a key piece of history in America’s anti-slavery movement. All moneys made from commissions will go to that historical society.
This town and many of its buildings served as stations for the Underground Railroad. Hundreds of escaping slaves found protection, food, shelter, medical help, comfort and hope within the walls and below many of the homes in this area. The Abolitionist meeting hall in Plymouth Meeting brought inspiring Abolitionist leaders to speak and rally 200 anti-slavery champions here.
