I'm an artist who works in different mediums including a recent foray into gel plate prints. These prints are made on a gel plate with acrylic paint using brayers of different sizes working in reverse order, in other words the first color I put down is the detail followed by the other layers in reverse order until all the different layers that make up the final piece of art are complete. One last layer of acrylic paint is applied covering all the previous layers, the receiving paper is then laid down over the wet layer and allowed to dry, revealing the finished piece of art. I occasionally use handcut stencils for details like barns, etc. It was a trial and error journey in which I ended up with a goodly number of pieces of art. As is normal, friends and relatives asked if I considered making art prints from these originals since they thought it was quality art that could be shared. So here are a selection of the gel prints converted into art prints. They are NOT the original gel prints as each gel print is a one-off. I want to make sure that's abundantly clear.
