Hello and welcome! I'm Katie, a graphic designer with 13+ years experience in the industry. Working agency side, I help build brands from small start-ups to fortune 500 companies. After years of dreaming about spending my days becoming a surface designer, I finally decided to start a side hustle. In the spring of 2022 I spent most my free time designing patterns and planning my first collection; which later launched on Spoonflower in August of 2022. Since then I have been exploring all the possibilities of being a surface pattern designer. I recently opened an Etsy shop where I sell apparel and decor and now I have finally expanded my offering onto Zazzle! This shop is filled with all kinds of goodies you can't get anywhere else. My personal favorite, wrapping paper! I am a one woman shop, so everything behind the scenes is designed and run by me. Born in the 80's and having grown up in the 90's I draw inspiration from themes of my youth and aesthetics of generations before me. Many of my prints are nostalgic, inspired by my childhood (thank you Lisa Frank!) and reimagined for today's consumer. I aim to create patterns that are fun, flirty and fabulous! Here at Periwink Boutique I am not afraid to play with ALL the colors, neons included! Life is too short for shades of grey and beige.
