About

Sally's work often explores the darker side of faery and her paintings have a slightly gothic air and is focused on the more unusual and magickal aspects of life. her subject matter chooses her rather than the other way around, and she paints what she feels drawn to, often incorporating the somerset landscape (trees are such useful things for backgrounds!!!!) influences include the pre-raphaelite movment and modern faery artists such as Jasmine Becket-Griffith, Brian Froud and Amy Brown. Sally's work has been published in several magazines, including "pentacle" and "faeries and enchantment". Sally paints from her small home studio in the Somerset countryside and works mainly in acrylics on canvas, she sells both original paintings and prints and accepts commissions.
