Back in 1997 there were two guys who shared the same love for hip hop. Julian Mireles Jr. a.k.a m.c. LOKO and Victor Mireles Jr. a.k.a DOOBIE DOOBZ got together and combined their talents to later on form a hip hop group. That officially became THE SICKHEADZ. With DOOBIE DOOBZ rocking the turntables and LOKO spitting on the microphone, their chemistry was begging to grow. In the past LOKO dabbled in the m.c. world and little by little this was becoming his passion. DOOBIE DOOBZ passion begun while making mix tapes at home, after hearing every record he had DOOBIE started to dig in his pops records, and one thing lead to another from there. In the winter of ’98 THE SICKHEADZ started to record their self-titled E.P. project. LOKO and DOOBIE DOOBZ decided it was time to bring their chemistry to the studio. After a year of recording at VENUS STUDIO, their project was complete. In the winter of ’99 THE SICKHEADZ struggled to release their project independently. But with a little help from family and friends, THE SICKHEADZ E.P. was born. As their E.P. gained recognition, THE SICKHEADZ took their chemistry to the stage. They performed locally and nationally. With a show consisting of The SICKHEADZ and friends, they played each of their songs with heart. After some tour exposure, THE SICKHEADZ knew it was time to record an album. They knew recording an album was going to take some time. But LOKO and DOOBIE DOOBZ accepted the responsibility. Today, THE SICKHEADZ are still in the process Of recording their long over due Album. This time around they have long-time friends that are helping along the way. THE SICKHEADZ started with two founding members and became a family between groups of friends. Now THE SICKHEADZ is composed of individual members, all doing there part to make it all happen.
