Once upon a time in a land far away. Well, actually, if you go through Dickson, it really ain't that far. Anyway in this land lived two kids who both claimed a creek. One claimed a creek named Yellow Creek and the other's creek was Cedar Creek. In the summertime, when the Yellow Creek kid's Mama had to work at the shirt factory, he was left at home by himself. There was no danger in him staying by himself, but he had no one to play with and he got plumb lonely. On occasions, the Cedar Creek kid would walk about five miles to go to the Yellow Creek kid's house. It might sound a little silly, but both kids turned around and walked the same five miles back to the Cedar Creek kid's house.
