Theo is a former police officer with a love for art and photography. Born James Theopistos in 1969 near Philadelphia, PA, he lived his first ten years in a largely Greek-Italian neighborhood. In 1979 his family moved to San Antonio, TX where he completed high school. After high school "Theo" received a B.A. degree at the University of Texas at Austin. Initially with a background in figure drawing and oil painting, Theo became a self taught computer graphics artist. Using those newly developed skills he started using a combination of 3d graphics, painting and drawing techniques to render the scenes in his artwork. This work is best characterized with Christian symbolism depicted though the objects and environments he creates. Updated November 2009: Theo is professionally involved in the digital media and printing industry for photographers and artists. Because of his love for both art, photography and printing Theo developed two successful online printing services. In 2003 he opened FinerWorks.com which targets fellow artists and photographers looking for canvas and giclee printing. In 2010 he expanded the focus on canvas printing with EZCanvas.com which targets consumers wanting canvas prints of their photos. When not engaged in either he enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with other artists and photographers.
