Y2K Keepsakes was founded in 2022 by myself, Zach, and my fiancée Brittany as a way for us to work together while getting to spend more time with our young son. As new parents, Brittany and I struggled to find a good work-life balance that allowed us to pursue our careers but still be present for all of the magical moments of our son's early years. With our shared nostalgia for the music, fashion, and pop culture of the 1990s and early 2000s, we hit upon the idea of starting a shop that would allow us to blend our passions, talents, and dreams of running a family business together. And so, Y2K Keepsakes was born! Our goal is to create fresh, modern takes on the trends we loved growing up reimagined with contemporary style. FrEverything we make is infused with the kawaii aesthetic, positivity, and playfulness that defined the Y2K era. It's been so rewarding seeing our creations resonate with fellow millennials who want to capture the feeling of the 1990s and early 2000s in their homes and closets today. Running this shop allows Brittany and I to set our own schedules so we can be there for school drop-offs, sports practices, and special family moments. We can't wait to keep infusing the world with more 2000s nostalgia and cuteness while enjoying this special time as a family.
